If you have struggled with reading all of your life, don't lose hope! You are never too old to learn about the 5 basic reading skills which will turn your struggles into strengths!
Read Strong Sistas is a reading tutoring program designed for women 18 years and older. A specific and unique reading plan will be created for each woman who enrolls.
What does this mean for you?
You will will given personal lessons on reading, phonics, spelling, writing, and comprehension. Your Reading Tutor, Portia Conix, will slowly teach you all of the information about reading, starting with the very basic skills of the alphabet and its letter sounds.
There is no deadline for each lesson. You can learn at your own pace. Reading is hard work and you will need time to build up strong reading skills.

CONTRACT FOR TUTORING SERVICES

TUTORING SESSIONS:
The Tutor will provide Reading Tutoring to the Student online using the virtual GOOGLE MEET. The link will be sent to the Students' email right before their scheduled sessions. In person tutoring may be arranged at an agreed upon time and location. (Additional fees may apply.)
TUTORING FEES:
The rate for tutoring will be $35.00 per hour.
PAYMENT:
Payment for the tutoring session is due at the beginning of the session. Advance payments are also possible. Fees are payable by: CASH APP
GUARANTEES/WARRANTIES:
The Tutor will provide each Student with a personal plan to improve her reading skills. However, the Tutor cannot make any promises, guarantees or warranties with regards to a Student's performance as a result of any tutoring provided.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND:
If the Student must cancel a prepaid session, the Student may receive a refund or apply the prepayment toward a future session. If the Tutor must cancel a session for any reason, the Tutor agrees to refund payment or apply any prepayment to a future session.
LATE ARRIVAL or NO SHOW:
Students who log on late or who end their sessions early will not have their fees adjusted. If the Student does not log on after ten (10) minutes from the scheduled time of the session without notifying the Tutor, she will be considered a "no show" for that session. The Tutor will terminate the session and a penalty of $10 will be charged. If the Student has two NO-SHOWS within a month, this contract will be terminated by the Tutor.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTOR:
1. The Tutor will create a personal reading plan to address the Student's reading problems or difficult areas.
2. The Tutor will keep the Student’s information confidential.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT:
1. The Student will participate in all tutoring activities and reading worksheets.
2. For online tutoring, the Student must be located in a quiet area without background distractions.
3. No eating or cell phone use will be permitted during sessions.
TERMINATION:
The Student or the Tutor may terminate this tutoring contract for any reason at any time by giving 24 hours notice. Upon termination, the Tutor agrees to return the balance of any prepayment.
